Don't bother me
by Judith Bakkensen
I love this place. It unbuttons my
day, like throwing off an uncomfortable bra. It is warm and soft.
There are books everywhere. I can lay here, sit here, slouch here, close
my eyes, study.... This is a great place. A place to find my sanity.
NO ONE BETTER BOTHER ME HERE.
Oh, here comes Tyler. "Read me a
book, Grandma." He sits on my lap. He leans against me tucking
his head under my chin. He's really growing. We relax together as I
read aloud to him. Our bodies blend until he becomes part of me.
OK, I'LL LET JUST ONE PERSON
BOTHER ME HERE.
